Last week, we stopped in for a chat at Rockland World Radio (the bestest internet radio station in Nyack, NY.) The archive is available in the Modern Metro Music show archives (click on “The Bosch” to stream.)
Tomorrow night, we’re out in the ‘burbs in Clifton, NJ at The Clash Bar.
Ever notice that garage bands rarely ever ROCK? Weird, right? Well, The Bosch ROCK. They hit all the right notes – their garagey swagger isn’t hipsterish – it’s a genuinely cool Lou Reed thing with even a little Joey Ramone in there. The music is great – an immensely likable mix of 60s garage, 50s r&b, and Strokesy rock. They’re also one of the only garage bands that incorporate keys and horns and have it sound awesome.

While the band prepared to play Pianos, the teletype machine here at The Bosch World HQ printed out a message:
LETS RECORD LIVE SESSION STOP
REPORT TO BTR LIVE STUDIO STOP
LOC 4 8 15 16 23 42 STOP
We went on eBay to find a used Enigma machine to decipher the coordinates in the message, and duly reported to a recording studio secreted away in lower Manhattan and recorded a live set for Breakthru Radio. The session goes live today.
