Those are not the subway lines that the Bosch boys need to ride to get to their rehearsal space, but the name of the authority in specialty radio. In the latest FMQB Top 25 Album Chart, The Bosch debuted tied for 22 along with major artists including The Blueskins, Death Cab For Cutie, Diamond Nights, The Greenhornes, James Blunt, Metric and Various Artists (on a Tony Hawk game soundtrack.) Along with Brooklyn wünderkinds Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Bosch are one of the few unsigned artists appearing on the chart.

We wrapped up our 2005 live shows with our debut appearance at Sin-é on an icy and wet night while placing bets whether they’d be able to take the subway home from the show. Thanks to everyone who made it out to Sin-é, as well as to those who managed to get to the shows in inclement weather down in Virginia last week. I can’t remember the last time we played on a night where it wasn’t snowing, raining or both!

We are looking forward to the new year with a swanky new rehearsal space, some new songs, fun shows (starting Jan. 8 at The Mercury Lounge) and, of course, world domination hunting whales in a hovercraft!

See you in 2006!
